Just a few months after the release of the highly-anticipated Pokemon Legends: Arceus game, the Pokemon Company has revealed a new game, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveal trailer was unveiled a week before and is now available to watch on The Official Pokemon YouTube channel. The teaser is somewhat similar to Pokemon Sword and Shield, which was released in 2019 in that it’s an ‘open world adventure’. However, Game Freak says that Scarlet and Violet are ‘new evolutionary steps’ in the IP’s main series.
The three new starter Pokemons look truly unique, and still have the same ‘grass, fire and water’ type selection. The names are revealed in the official description of the trailer- Sprigatito, a grass cat, Fuecoco, a fire crocodile and Quaxly, a duckling will be the first pokemon trainers can pick to bring with them on the journey.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is expected to launch late 2022.
